A curated selection of oils, etchings, and giclées by Margarita Pointelin — on view at La Higuera and available to take home.
"I communicate through art."
Fourth generation in a family of painters: the tradition reaches back to my great-grandfather and continues with my parents. I grew up surrounded by the smell of turpentine, tubes of color and canvases on easels. Drawing was my first voice while I outgrew my shyness.
I studied Art History at the University of Burbank, California, and continued at the Instituto Cultural Cabañas in Mexico. Painting under masters Enrique Ruiz Rojo, Luis Eduardo González, Javier Chávez Valencia and Vicente Figueroa. Etching with Cornelio García and Alejandro Camacho at the Taller de Gráfica Contemporánea.
